Control valves

Series 240 and 250 globe and three-way valves, Type 3241 above all; trim sets, packings and gaskets for valves in service.

Actuators

Type 3271 and Type 3277 pneumatic diaphragm actuators, fail-open or fail-closed; Type 3374 electric actuators where there is no instrument air.

Positioners

Type 3730 electropneumatic positioners with HART, PROFIBUS PA or FOUNDATION fieldbus, and the flameproof Type 3731 for Ex d areas.

Self-operated regulators

Pressure reducing and excess pressure valves that work without auxiliary energy, for steam, gas and liquid lines.

Series index

Samson identifies a unit by its Type, for example Type 3241-7 (a 3241 valve on a 3277 actuator), plus the nameplate data; a nameplate photo is enough.

Which documents come with the shipment?
A commercial invoice, packing list, certificates of origin and the manufacturer documentation: datasheets, test reports and certificates. Quotations carry HS codes. Name any further QA/QC certificates in the request.
Can DAC source obsolete Samson parts?

What is the difference between Type 3730 and Type 3731 positioners?
Type 3731 is the flameproof (Ex d) version of the Type 3730 electropneumatic positioner; Type 3730 covers the standard and intrinsically safe versions. Both mount integrally on a Type 3277 actuator or per NAMUR (IEC 60534-6) on other actuators; tell us the actuator, explosion protection and protocol.
